HVAC buying guide for Auburn homeowners

Plan your project

Auburn is Allred Heating's home base — our office is at 505 F St SE. For homes in Auburn, compare proposals based on the home's measured needs, not just brand or advertised price. Existing equipment, insulation, ductwork and access can change the right approach, and a local contractor should be able to show up fast when a system fails in a cold snap.

Ask the contractor

• Will you evaluate heating and cooling loads before selecting capacity?
• How will you assess ducts, return air and airflow?
• Which specific models and efficiency ratings are proposed?
• Who handles permits, startup testing and warranties?

Check registration and compare bids

Before signing, verify the company through the Washington Labor & Industries contractor lookup and obtain written, itemized estimates. This guide does not publish an unverified “best” contractor ranking.
